Departing for Corpach, Fort William on a sunny September evening. She had arrived the previous day from the Netherlands with baled wood pulp. It was her third & final visit of the year. 'Scotline' is expanding its fleet with larger vessels, typically 4,500ton, compared with 'MARINER' which was built in 2001 at 3,300ton DWT.
The 'Great Glen Shipping' coaster is seen inbound on a grey afternoon from Fishnish, Isle of Mull with a full load of timber. After a speedy 24hr turnaround she's on way out of the port to Kilroot, NI (last 3 photos).
'Forestry Commission Scotland' has since financed the building of a new pier at Fishnish next to the CalMac ferry. It began operation in December 2013 & saves hundreds of thousands of lorry-miles each year. Photo credit 'TSL Contractors'.

Inbound on a murky summer afternoon from Dublin to collect baled waste.
Watching from the south pier, progress from the pilot station was very slow. It became apparent the vessel had an engine problem when attempting to set off to enter the port. The pilot instructed the tug to attach a line to the stern to act as a brake. And so the unusual position of the tug in the photos - a rare sight at the port.
Conditions couldn't be more different for the departure, fully loaded, 24hrs later in the evening sunshine to Riga, Latvia.
The vessel is in 'WAGENBORG' livery but later that year changed ownership & was renamed 'LEHMANN FJORD'. In 2015 there was a further change to 'GRIFBOR'.

HENDRIK S (Kampen) IMO 9195391, 29th & 30th May 2012
Seen inbound with baled wood pulp, & in the second photo after a 24hr turnaround outbound in ballast for Dublin.
